hi again. in the link there is a video of WTAF (?) 2007 it shows a a bow style i like.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-J0RUn_bi7M

so, could anyone tell me what type of bow is used between 0.33 to 1.40 seconds in the video.

is it a good representation of that type. it looks nice to me but it seems to have a twist in his hand at full draw.

it also looks long enough for three finger release rather than a thumb ring.

also the main curve in the bow limbs seems to be very close to the handle. i would have thought the curve would be closer to the middle of the limb.

by comparison to other similar types is it a less efficient design---or is that starting a religious debate:)

Hey!
A good bow sure catch your eyes! This bow is one of my early projucts.

It was a 200 years old Qing bow, when I got it, all the sinew was broken, horns pop up...and twist really bad.

I rip all the sinew out, find out that the core still intact. Then glue the horn back, finally apply 4 layers of sinew.
I didn't season this bow for too long, about 2 months, I strung it and shoot it. It works really well.
My friend Kenneth was shooting this bow in film.

yokhua,
nice to hear from you. it sounds like an interesting project and the result is very pleasing to my eye.

would you be able to say how long it is when strung?
