im planning on building a sind bow, but have a hard time finding any measurements for it.
I've searched atarn but havent come up with anything real useful.
there is some dimentions at greyson on the sind bow http://anthromuseum.missouri.edu/grayso ... ery2.shtml

but i would like to have something little more solid, i would also like some pics of it braced and draw but havent found anything.

Is there someone out there who could help me with this??

Best regards

I don't think that there are many Sind bows in a drawable condition. I know that Edward McEwen made some years ago. The Grayson bows have their lacqering intact, but I doubt the Museum would be willing to see them strung.

The new book put out by the Young Jip Bows and arrows museum has a plethera of Sind bows pictured from a German collection, if you can put your hands on a copy- good luck.

A 200 year old bow can not be strung and shot. Think about it.

Jack,
There are reports that bows were being made in India up to the late 1920s. The Sind bow or chahar kham bow was made and used outside of Sind itself.

120 year old bows have been shot, but you won't catch me doing it.
