Very nice work Cem, excellent symmetrical tiller. For a target bow, to make it more "bol yay", I would make the limbs bend slightly closer to the grip. This will lower the weight and reduce stack at longer draws.

Adam: My master,teacher thanks again. Sal is not bend close the grip, I think it is because of little reflexs of grip.Grip is not straight as a Tirkes bow.

I know Cem, but i low l??ng draw . 27-28 sound better. Nice bow. If i was luky man , about year,or 2 i made and finish and shoting somthing like this :roll:

Force draw curve means poundage as the function of draw.

After measuring you will draw them on paper or excel. This is force draw curve.

But I am asking if you would show the construction details of a Turkish target bow. How thick is the horn and how long. The shapwe of the wood splices. jhow thick the sinew. All the details. this is what we would like to know.

What is mentioned above is what I meant. The force draw curve is a static measurement of the weight of the bow at different draw lengths. It is usually done in pounds per inch because the concept was developed in America. It can be done in Kgs per Metre too.

You draw a graph with the Y axis as draw weight and the X axis as draw length. You measure the draw weight per inch on a scale. then the area under the curve represents the energy stored in the bow. If the line is straight then the bow is performing "normally". The long bow has a slightly concave curve. A short straight bow would be more concave. On a Turkish bow you would expect the curve to bulge upwards in the first half.

That descriptiion is very approximate. The idea of the curve is to measure how much energy is available to the arrow.

Horn is 5mm thick and 49cm long, 3 cm wide. Snew is 2,7mm.
Sal :27 cm long ,3.2cm wide
Kasan: 17cm long, 2,2cm wide ( middle)
Grip: 12cm long, 2,7cm wide ,3,5 cm thick
Tip: 9 cm long, 1,3 cm wide

İn the begining I use 2cm thick,4 cm wide and 55cm long parallel grain maple. I bend it in the hot water.Maple stay in th form about 1 month. Glue is sturgeon air bladder ,snew and hide glue. Snew is moose and 3 layer. After the snewing drying period is 1 year.

Puta bow's unstrung shape must be boat shape( Tekne kuram)
