I am sure that others noticed that on the 8th page, p 111 the handle bone slats have been put on the illustration backwards making a very different kind of bow. One would hope that the author was more familiar with this common-type of Hunnic inspired bow!

It also appears to be upside down with the longer bone tip 15a on the lower limb.

Personally I don?t know, the issue is quite complex but these conclusions seem plausible to me.
