a bow can fast assembled(glued and unglued fast)?
if the bow a can fast assembled, that will mean the glue can be glued and un-glued fast, if it is a sure technique, how many time need?
thanks
thanks
you can make a bow even by just using a board or a bamboo log in 1 day. No gluing needed.
Cut the bamboo in 4, remove all the skin inside, Sand it, thin it to the tips, make a groove at the tips, tiller it, DONE. About just 6 hours to make, if materials are prepared even hand made.

Jiao,
I believe someone (redhorse?)on the forum say he can get a bow done and shooting in two weeks.
Is this fast time for you? or you thinking faster...?
Assembly can be done quite fast, maybe some hours time to one day for the glue to cure on the horn. Sinew will take longest time, as you would want it to dry all the way through, not just surface.
Un-gluing a joint glued with animal glues is easily done with some steam. Maybe a minutes worth and they can be safely pulled apart.

The bamboo bows from Bhutan are very simple and extremely effective. I am not sure if any glue is used at all to make them. I had the impression that in Bhutan they avoid use of glue - a product from dead animals - as that would associate users with a very low caste trade.

thanks and sorry i am not said my mostly mean is the hornbow can be fast assembled, i has some flimflam idea, glue all the sinew part at a core loose,if it dry pulled apart and glue to the real core the horn has add , so a horn bow can be fast assembled
for the pulled apart the hornbow,
steam the birch bark or hide,
use hand tear the sinew form the end of ear
hot the horn if temperature done right the glue failed
it is best things the glue can fast dry and fast pulled apart
i am guess this technique used in battlefield repair the hornbow

Yes it can be done. I have remove a complete sinew backing from one bow to an other.
