Your quivers look strong and efficient. Reinforcing the opening with extra leather is traditional because they could not always get leather of sufficient stiffness.
The rear strap on the open quiver might have to be shortened otherwise it might sit too low. I have found for horseback use that you wear the quiver belt high on your waist and not on your hips then the strap length is no problem. The height of the quiver should be such that when you relax your arm the hand should touch the arrows.
