A medieval gorytos?

Engraving is representing a moldavian archer, about 1350, I dont know when was made.

The bow quiver seems and arrow quiver seems to be same piece, but is not very clear in the image.
The bow is very interesting, it seems to have only a slight touch between siyah and string and have no recurved ears, that sugesting not a turkish type.

This looks like a nineteenth century fantasy engraving. There were many popular historical works made in Western Europe with little or no research. I am sure that the genre was popular everywhere.

What usually happened was that a historical tradition was re-interpreted using Classical and Gothic motifs. It is somewhat like what happened with the popular nineteenth century ideas about the Vikings and other "barbarians".
