bone slabs
I've been looking for reliable sources of quality bone slabs.
Knifemakers shops only offer small, flat scales, to thin for my project
(I need 9x9x40mm blanks, preferably cut from slabs)
I've tried mock ivory as possible substitute but didn't like it's plastic appearance.
Any ideas?

How about getting cattle femora from a butcher?
Thanks, but I would prefer pre-made material. I'll be glad to pay an extra for it as long as quality is good (slab isn't cracked or chipped)
