Last week near my house was an International exhibition of seashell collectors, I was there with my kids.
There was also a stand with seashell jewelery, before I thing then seashell is too breakable (frangible) for some applications, but exhibitor demonstrate me then right seashell can be strong enough.

So is anybody try to make and/or use thumb ring made from seashell ?
Bede
I have a thumb ring made from seashell by Dr Grayson. I tried to get seashell as hard and as thick as the one I bought from him, but the shells I bought were much more fragile. I think that if you get the right shell, it wouldn't be a problem.

May be for archery some similar process was used with sea shell as we use today to make more stronger mammoth bone, we use liquid warm epoxy to get inside material of fragile bone to make it stronger.
Seashell material is also poromeric , so similar procedure with some natural organic stuff can be used ?
