My New Bow
Video shows it all, my 45# prototype mongolian hybrid bow, gift of Lukas Novotny expressing my dedication to asian archery. My arrows are old and my new bamboos that I am making are not done yet, I am still configuring.

Hey, Lucas! Thank for making this video. I've been curious of how what Lukas prototype Hybrid Yuan looks like. I know that he wants to add some more pronounced curves to the model that he'll eventually put on the market. It will be interesting to see what that model will look like.
Other than that, nice video, good form, and good focus! :)

Congrats on the bow, you must be happy now :).
I will post video of me shooting it in a while.
Congrats on the new bow. Looking forward to your shooting video.
Congratulations on the new bow Lucas. Please tell us how it performs? Likes and dislikes if any. Also, are you going to post a video of the bow in action?
Best regards,
Joseph

Lucas,
looks nice.Let us all know how it shoots. I'm trying out my new Grozer Chinese Biocomposite. I have to say it is smoother than my old Grozer base model, and has less hand-shock. Haven't had a chance to go longer than 20 yds yet. I think there may be a FPS tester at the range so I might be able to compare those. I know some folks on this site have mocked the 'technology' Grozer is selling as being just a gimmick but I'm not so sure.of course I have no real horn bow with which to compare.

Very nice indeed, look forward to seeing and hearing more about it. Planning on getting one of the Hybrids from Lukas myself, thoI am still in a quandary as to which one .

It is a hard pick indeed, but the most amazing to me would either be mine, a manchu or a crab bow!
But the best person to buy a replica manchu bow is Peter Dekker. He has amazing chinese bows that are going to be posted on his mandarinmansion.com website. They are made by a korean bowyer and have the drawlength and ear size of real manchu bows.

There is a very good chance that it will be a Crab bow style as I have a Crab horn bow coming from Lukas fairly soon, the Crab hybrid bow would be my every day / bad weather bow. At least then they would have similar shooting characteristics hopefully .

Well thats were I would disagree. It is human nature to get better and better, and humans are rarely satisfied. So, I think that having 2 bows of the same type but of different qualities would be a bad idea, because you wouldnt appreciate the hybrid as much, so I suggest you get a different culture if you want to buy another bow. :D
That has crossed my mind and I have not mad up my mind yet. My first impulse was to get a different type for the difference in the shooting experience, just not sure yet.
