Dear Friends,

The yearly MHIT - Hungarian Traditional Archer Table - will be held on the
20th of February, 2010, in the town of Dunaujvaros, 60 km from Budapest.
This MHIT event is more considered as a national event (participants are
mainly from hungary) - however you are all welcome to participate as well.

To keep up the good tradions, we are also organising another archer-day onthe 22nd of May, 2010 at the town of Torokbalint, and we consier this event as the more "international" event, and we truly hope that we will all meet each other in May.

The name of the Torokbalint event is: European Traditional Archer Festival -ETAF or: Traditional Archery European Workshop or simply: "Little Sister" (of WTAF!) LS1! (. under construction . )

The open-air program list various activities including traditional archery
with traditional music, drinks and foods! The competition program will
consist of variation of WTAF + 3 extra games: french - little bird,
turkish - puta and austral-english clout archery.

Detailed program:

1st.: International Hunter stage: on 10 m. rabbit, on 15 m. wolf and on 20m. deer (3D animals), 2-2-2=6 arrows - pin!

2nd.: Hungarian Moving Target stage: on 30 m., like on the earlier WTAF,
but: 15 sec. from left to right 1 arrow, from right to left 1 arrow, twice!
(Every hit minimum 1 point!) 4 arrows - pin!

3rd.: French Traditional Game "Little Bird": on 40 m., 5 arrows - pin! (As
we can show on the 2009 presentation!)

4th.: Turkish Traditional Puta Game: on 50 m., 5 arrows - pin! (As we can
show on the 2009 presentation!)

5th.: Japan Target Game: on 60 m., 5 arrows - pin!

6th.: Mongolian NaaDam: on 70 m., 3 arrows - blunt!

7th.: Clout Archery: on 80 m., (flag + 3 zones) 3 arrows - pin!

8th.: Korean Traditional: on 96 m., 5 arrows - pin! (2/3 parameters) (Like
III. WTAF!)

Summa: 36 arrows!

After the competition the evening will contouned including the following programs: traditional music and nomad-dance-house around the fire with Ms.Adiba Amani (Indian-dancer), wine and Hungarian palinka (spirit) tasting, free-open-fire-cooking, archer-pair-games for winning the
Punkosd-King-Title, "International-minutes" or "as you like it", Hungarian
bow- and arrow-makers stands, hand-work specialists presenting their work.

We hope this day will provide us a perfect event to meet up again and
practice together, gain experiences about this competition and prepare
suggestions to WTAFOC for the future!

The end of pre-registration period is the end of March. Please provide me
feedbacks, extra ideas. I will get back to you with the final program in the beginning of April.

Giving Blessings, Giving Peace!

Perfect timing - this is (probably) about a week after exams. Hopefully I'll be able to come (in May).

Time to get some more practice in now ... :D

Ooh, I already got a ticket for AC/DC on that day. Maybe I'll try selling it on eBay. On the other hand..
Guess I'll have to roll a die, how can I possibly decide?!

Turns out exams are probably over by the 10th May, so I'll be able to come. How do I sign up?

Dear Friends!

Due to changed circumstances, the ETAF - European Traditional Archer
Festival - originally planned for mid-May will be held at a later date and
it will be incorporated with a much larger, international event.

Hereby I would like to kindly inform you - considering your suggestions -
that the ETAF "Little Sister of WTAF" announced for mid May is postponed.

(Background information: the Major of our Town will present our festival at
the Conference of Mayors in Spain and will gather more sponsors, partners,
participants and supporters to raise the general scope of the event.)

I will inform you about the progress of the organization and the exact date
of the Festival as soon as more information will be available.

We all appreciate your enthusiasm and hope for your participation!

Best regards
Posta Pal
