We have a number of Members (who speak excellent English) in Istanbul. The only person I am aware of who is making traditional equipment is Cem Donmez in Izmir.

You're always welcomed. In Istanbul we're a small group of traditional archers who have been working for reviving Turkish traditional archery since 2004. My friends and I would be glad to be your host in our Sunday practice and to give you the info you need.
In Istanbul there is only one archery shop that sale mostly modern equipment. Other than this there are numerous shops that are specialised on hunting gear and sale some archery gear too. In Istanbul there is only one bowyer, Mehmet Golhan, a member of our group, who has been making synthetic material Turkish bow replicas for some time. The person Stephen is talking about is Cem Donmez, the first traditional bowyer of the republic era, still the only one who is skilled enough to make good replicas.
