Good to look at.

Dimensions, statistics, performance?
Alan Flashing
This is a photograph before the decorative finish , the bow is made by Lukas Novotny of Saluki bows. I should have the finished bow this week . The length is 50".
75# at 29". Will post more photos and my thoughts after I receive it and get a chance to make some arrows to match it shoot it some .
MJuingong
Is that a fiberglass, or a horn-wood-sinew?
Alan Flashing
This is a horn/wood/sinew bow built for me by Lukas Novotny
MJuingong
Good!

Am I prying if I ask the price?

... Im begrudge noiselessly... :D .

$2400 , could be much more depending on the laborious decoration done by hand. This photo is before the decoration , I should have the finished bow this week and will post photos. I chose a simple decoration to keep the price down a bit.

It has been almost 15 month wait for this bow , which is good as it gave me time to save up the $$ for it.

Mr. Flashing:

Thank you for the information.

Good looking bow.

The crab bows I have seen have had unbeliveably short bending limbs.

If this is based on different crab bow, or is this a better than the real thing - design. At least it does look more reasonable.
MJuingong
Is the shorter limb an optical effect produced by higher bracing (shorter string)?
Alan Flashing
I am not sure about the visual effect of one limb looking shorter than the other , it could be, I will not have the bow till this coming Thursday. It was just shipped out to me a few days ago and is in transit. It could be the temporary leather grip wrap that makes it appear this way.
Some of the photos that I have seen of original crab bows appear to be somewhat asymmetrical looking but not sure. Perchance someone with more knowledge in this will offer their observations.
mongolianarcher
It has that look because Lukas purposefully levels the limbs so that the top limb has more string height than the lower in order to balance the bow due to off center nocking.
Alan Flashing
Just received the new bow today , just stunning.

CONGRATS Alan that is one great looking bow. I am so happy you finally got the "dream bow". You will have to let us know all of your adventures with that beautiful bow.
Dusan
:D your face say all , Alan.I hope you enjoy it.
Outlaw
Enjoy it !

Nice! Show us a strung and full draw pic as well :-)
Redhorse
Wow, the first crabbow we see. Would you please make a fd-curve on that. We have many on other bows but not any on a crabbow.
Alan Flashing
Redhorse ... sorry to be ignorant on this but I do not know how to do a fd-curve on this bow. I just received it the other day and today will be the first time I have had the chance to shoot it.
Redhorse
Its easy, you just brace it. And draw it with a scale. Read weight every inch you draw.
If you don't have a scale you can draw with, use stick and push it on a body weight scale. Make a tabel and let us calculate the energy stored in the bow.
Alan Flashing
I was mistaken on the strung length it is just 46" long.
Dusan
 and now imagine if your bow have this mistake 46" long unstrung - nock x nock./like many of crab bows../
