Broke on the inside of the V or the outside of the V ?
Exactly from inside of it in the in the sharp end of V.
M; I do know that a #1 korean bowyer finds it useful to continue the cut on the female of the splice into the limb piece some short distance.
He uses a metal template to mark the splices. The edges are not straight but curve gently in toward the middle. All his cutting is by hand with a fine tooth saw on the female part and an adz and file on the male part.

Jack is right: the Korean bowyers make a small extra cut into the limb at the point of the V to resist splitting of the wood when exposing it to moisture/heating during the gluing process. Another thing that I have heard of was to drill a small (say 1/16 inch) hole at the point of the V before cutting.
Thank you very much for your comments.i think fastening a C-clamp on sal sides where sharp point of V is will work too.
I dont fit the splice so tight that the female part might break.
the glue fills small spaces and contracts, no need for clamps, just rope binding
