Handle woods
I was looking through my wood offcuts for something suitable for the handle in a 3 piece core. I have lemonwood, purpleheart and ipe. So what would be the best or are they all suitable?
I think you might find that more weight at the grip lessens shock, so you can consider finding the densest wood and using that.

I don't think that hide glue works well on ip?, I don't know the other two.
