vaired feathers:goose,turkey,pheasant etc
If I came across someone harassing our local birds of prey where I live, I would definitely consider loosing a blunt arrow, or even two, in the general direction of the person. In fact, it has been a problem here not long ago. Now we have so few left that we might even risk loosing some of these wonderful birds for good...
I'm staying with goose and turkey.
i don't want make trouble and respect some people's mind, but here is no such limation, vaired law in varies countries, some is legal some is not legal,in china, hunting is forbidden, but in usa is legal, why usa don't respect wild animal survice right and kill them just for fun or relax?jack farrell wrote:
Stiven; I think you are a reasonable person and a good business man but it is not correct to sell these hawk and owl feathers even if it is legal.
Beautiful as they are, it is not fair to kill a bird of prey for its feathers. And I do not want birds of prey to die for arrow making.
Please consider limiting your business to farm yard type birds.
Please ATARNites make your opinions known here.
if you can explain me something?why you still kill even you see they are getting very suffer and huge pain without feeling?

Yeah, you probably want to avoid selling the feathers of protected species. No one would hold it against you if you stopped selling hawk/owl feathers.

i tell you fact, many wild animal now in china, not in wild world, they are become industry animal and people feed them like feed pig or cow, like many snakes, crocotile and some wild birds which i don't know the names many animal, and in china, still have a trandition in some remote place, people kill hawk and eat them like eat goose or duck.and it is legal in china.i respect people here.most people here are very nice and friendly.Kviljo wrote:
Agree. These might be legal to sell and buy in some countries, but it really is a global problem. Perhaps even such feathers can be obtained by good ethical means, but by selling such feathers the market is kept alive, and that is not something that gains the population of rare bird species. There is always someone who does not hesitate to e.g kill a rare bird and get some quick money.

We're not angry. We want you to be successful, so we're just giving you an idea of what the opinion outside of China is like. 我们希望你是成功。 我们不在骂你,但是对这些东西要稍微担心。
非常谢谢,我已经取消了一些,只剩下GOOSE 和TURKEY.我不想和大家对着干Justin Ma wrote:
I don't hunt. But I know hunting is regulated in the US and requires a license. Hunting protected or endangered animals is prohibited. The fact that people hunt non-endangered animals is out of my control. (Also, I thought China did not allow the exporting of eagle feathers.)

Very nice goose and turkey feathers. I am sure people would want Ring neck pheasant and Silver pheasant also. i am pretty sure there would not be a problem importing those into the USA.

For you it is better to ask an import agent. If someone here receives the wrong feathers, there could be a $5000 fine on them, or more.
Yes, Koreans only use Ring neck pheasant wing fletches.
Peacock and peahen have nice wing feathers. There are many other pheasants with good feathers.
Also look into heritage turkey feathers. You will be surprised.
Thank you very much for your opinion,i have penty of Pheasant in stockOrda Khan wrote:

Stiven; Other people are selling pheasant in the USA. Each animal may have a different law but generally if it is not rare in the wild and if it is raised on a farm then it is usually legal to sell these.
