First of all,these horn strips are cutted from waterbufello horn:
we cut 1 pcs from 1 horn,we don't cut 2pcs from 1 horn even we can do that way.
I have made 50pairs of them in stock,their size :
wide:4/4.5cm,long:59/60cm,(23.6 inches about),tapered thickness(from root,medium and tip):3mm,7/9mm,12/14mm ,
many of them have beautiful natural pattern on both size of strips.

40years horn bow maker tell me flatter horn strips is easy to broken at handle part when long time used and taper horn strips can be used for 300years above if you use other best material,and thick can be sanded into thin simply,but thin can't be done into thicker.so,even flatter one look nice,but taper one is more profesional and durable for long time.so,i refuse to sell flatter one to cheat buyers.
they are first choice for making best quality horn bow.i plan to make 500-1000pairs in stock to offer worldwide.I am looking for distributors worldwide to resell these first class horn strips to their local market.pls pm to me if you have interesting to cooperate with me.

very smooth surface without any cracks and defects.they can be done first class horn bow from smallest to biggest lbs horn bow

The strips look nice, but I see a few with (what appear to be) transverse cracks not sanded out. How deep are the cracks?
Another thing: have you used oil on the strips? If so, the oil may interfere with gluing later on. There is no need to make them so smooth.

may be the camera flash light lead you to see something wrong,no any cracks on surface of strips,we polish all defects(cracks,bumps,凹凸 etc)in very smooth surface,they are best quality horn strips in the world,we don't use oil treatment,they are all in natural bent horn shape( oil treatment make strips become very flatter side,we use oil just for small size strips become flatter),we polish them so smooth is for good looking.another important is when we polish them very fine enough and you will see some beautiful tiger tail pattern on both of horn strips.
