German museums?

I am planning a trip to Germany this winter. Hoping to visit the museum at Schleswig to see some iron age longbows.

As I have registered that there are a few members here from Germany, perhaps you know of any museums that have exhibitions related to archery, which are worth visiting? Or even large archery-stores that are worth having a look through?

Apart from the ones mentioned, many smaller ethnological or folklore museums may have small but interesting collections. It depends on where you want to go, I'd say. And when ??some museums may have interesting temporary exhibitions as well.
If you come by Bielefeld, you're welcome to stay in my little place!

Hi Ivar, I?m living in the very south of Germany. No extraordinary bow- finding to visit here in a museum, Karlsruhe is a 200km trip from our home.
I?ve never been there to have a look at the collection of Turkish bows.
Anyway you?re welcome here with one of your wooden flight- bows!?

the "T?rkenbeute" of Karlsruhe is definetly worth visiting

Thanks guys!

Originally I was planning on only visiting the north of germany, but it seems I will have to at least drive down to Dresden.

Karlsruhe might perhaps be slightly too far, if I've already have been to Dresden. - if not Karlsruhe has more archery equipment? If so, we could perhaps meet at Karlsruhe and see the collection together, Michael. I'm afraid I don't have any competitive wooden flightbows at the time. Hopefully I will have one ready for the summer, though.

Thanks for the offer jsachers. Are there any need-to-visit-archery-collections near Bielefeld? :)

Unfortunately not. :-( Apart from one of the oldest "living" archaeological museums, all I can offer is my hospitality .....
