Primitive or not primitive?
I have read about different primitive classes for flightbows, but one question still comes up.
How can a bow count as primitive when you use modern day glue?
Is it any difference to use carbon or glassfibre instead of tree, sinew and horn then?
And just keep the primitive shape of the bow.
Or is there any primitive primitive class where you must use traditional glue?

Primitive flight classes require the bow to be made entirely from natural materials. Carbon, fibreglass, epoxy resins and other materials are not allowed. Strings must be made of natural fibres such as linen, hemp, silk, sinew, gut or ramie.
The different classes of primitive flight bows separate out self bows, simple composites and complex composites.
Primitive broadhead classes require that the arrows be all natural materials and metal points if used must be of metals available in pre-modern times. This includes iron and steel, which have a very long pre-modern history. Stone, bone and antler are permitted of course.

I see, so one have to extract the iron self then, with the same methods.
What I wrote was "metal points if used must be of metals available in pre-modern times. This includes iron and steel". You can use commercially available points, but not ones with modern metals like titanium because they were unknown before modern science. However, if you had access to a blacksmith and could have points made that were closer to old designs than modern hunting heads, they might fly better.
I have a set of antique broadhead arrows with reed shafts which I think would do very well, but for two reasons. They are lighter than the minimum 500 grains (32.3 grams) and the alkaline salt would destroy the surface of the heads and their tip reinforcements. If anyone is interested in making copies I will post the details here.
