Dear Hambakusm,

This is Fox WONG, one of the Hong Kong participant of this coming competition. I just returned from Inner Mongolia, PRC and visited the provincial riding school there (http://www.horsemanship.com.cn/). They have a team of doing all sorts of horseback arts including archery. I already mentioned this to my team leader Stephen.

A few of them are interested to come and wonder if they will be welcome. I can put both parties through so that both sides of you can liaise directly. A few of them speak English.

You can email my personal address: [email protected]

Dear Hambakusm,

You email is well received. I am still waiting for their response which is probably ready coming Wed/Thru.

Inner Mongolian team is still looking for funding either from their own school or somewhere else at the moment.

Diplomatic letter may be good once they decide they come and secure funding. The trouble is they could not link to this ATARN website for whatever technical problem!

Thank you

there some question,

Is there any form of diplomatic letter?
Where can we get it?
and where will we send it?
Stephen Selby
Dear Hambakusm,

I have asked the queestion before, but I need to confirm again: is it correct that there are no fees (for example, hire of horses) to be paid by anyone who attends the competition? We assume that we will pay for our own travel, accommodation, food and local transport. Am I correct?

S.
hambakusm
Yes, it is correct.
It is free to practice.
Fox
Dear Hambakusm,

Inner Mongolian will not come as they are fully engaged with the national game of PRC!

Fox
hambakusm
Thank you for your help.
See you at Sok-cho.
Stephen Selby
Please can you clarify, is this a team competition, with three teams (Korea, Hong Kong, USA) and points awarded to the teams; or is it an individual competition? Or can we have both team and individual competitions?

Also, have I understood the rule about holding arrows correctly? :

(a) bow held in left hand and several arrows also held in left hand: not allowed.
(b) bow held in left hand and several arrows held in right hand: allowed
(c) bow held in left hand and several arrows in the belt, boot or quiver: allowed.

S.
hambakusm
We are making rules.
When you are in Sok-cho, you could hear about that.
So we have to know about the competitors.

and Maybe It is right that you said above.

I have sent you an e-mail. Please chek it and answer to me ASAP.
Stephen Selby
Thank you for your reply. The question about holding the arrows is important for our practice before we come to Korea, so we would be grateful if you would get an answer as soon as you can.
