Question about birch bark

Hi to all atarnites,
I hope i will get some clearly picture or answer about what interest me at the moment. So:

1 .e.g., i would like to glue birch bark on the belly of the bow (over the horn). Do i need first to add some amount of sinew to the horn belly and where, before applying the birch bark? Does anyone has experience with that or has some idea? So, how to glue birch bark without wrapping it? Is this same method as applying rawhide to the back of the bow?

2. T'an Tan Chiung reports that best bundles of birch bark come from the trees 3 or 4 years old. Also, after longer time birch bark changes its character and fresh and clear colour.
I understood that oudside layer is not used and that inner part has yellow natural colour and if i need white colour i have to use white lead powder mixed with oil. Is there other method or what i wrote above is related to yellow birch bark? How to get white lead powder?

Thank you in advance:-))
