International Archery and Horsearchery Competition-Turkey
I almost forgot mentioning it here. Next week Fatih Genel, the mayor of Biga, (a province in Turkey near Istanbul) is organising an archery and horsearchery competition. Me and Neil Payne are organising the horsearchery part.
We will have horsearchers from:
Japan
Germany
Poland
Iran
England
South Afrika
Hungary
Slovakia
and of course Turkey
The disciplines will be 'memluk' where you have to hit different targets on the left and right side. And Kabak. On Sunday it will be a fun shoot with a track with a kabak target and an additional target on the left after the kabak pole.
The horses will be the horses used for the cirit game from the Sivas and Usak teams.
It will take place from 30.09.-2.10.2011 in Biga, about 2,5 hours from Istanbul.
For the archery part, I am not sure, but as far as I heard they will do the traditional Turkish disciplines, like flight shooting, puta target shooting from different distances and maybe even darb.
