wooden core
Hello everybody,This is my 1 message and question.
I made a 92 cm nock to nock horn bow.Draw weight 50 lbs 25 inch lenght
I glued the sinew on the horn in 3 layers with no wooden core. The bow is nice in line with no twist in the limbs. The sinew is still drying so the strength should go up.
Why do the asian bowyers use the wooden core.

Stability, something to splice the siyahs into and a better surface for attaching sinew too.
It also allows a bow to be made heavier in draw without increasing the mass as much as would be done with just horn and sinew.
