My pleasure Bede.

The book is in New Turkish. There are only a few books about traditional archery published after the foundation of Republic (with new Alphabet). Turk Okculugu is a masterpiece but does not include the shooting technique. Another book that is available in new alphabet is Kitab fi ilm an-nussab, a treatise written in Maemluk Kiptchak in 14th century. The book is a philological analysis of that treatise and focused on shooting technique. The technique seems to be a little different than that of Ottoman archers. For example the draw is taught to be up to the ear as it is in other Middle Eastern and Asian styles. (Bede and Adam will remember the discussions we had about the shorter draw lengths of kemankes)

Anyway, both books and the Ottoman scripts we have offer enough encouragment to start arising the old tradition with the known and unknown details.

Yes, Murat IS a gentleman and a scholar. (And I am shure he is worthy to be an EU citizen...)

Murat and Jeno,........and I have to add, that I feel ashamed as a european German by the behaviour of the upcoming german Bundeskanzler Angela Merkel......I don?t know where she lives!

Jen?, my dear friend,

Thanks for the nice compliments. Friends are like mirrors that you see your own image in. It's your gentleness and intellectual depth what you see.

Redhawk,

Machen Sie bitte keine Sorgen. Wenn die Voreingenommenheiten der Politiker veranlasst werden koennten, w?rden die V?lker bestimmt bessere Beziehungen haben. That's what we have been discussing with Jen? and other Hungarian friends. Both the cultural differences and similiarities can be used for intellectual enrichment and for becoming consociates. It's just like the contribution of people of different national and ethnic origins to Asian traditional archery. Certainly there are more "we"s than "you and I" s.

Best regards to all.

Murat
