Arcat Del quiver reproduction

I'm making reproduction of quiver from Arcat Del burial site.
I did first prototype in soft leather to get dimensions correct and to understand how it works.
Now I'm on the spot where real job starts.
Original quiver is made with strips of birch wood and birch bark.I'll try my hand with strips of bamboo, I have no source for birch bark, that will give me some problems but I can substitute with rawhide until I get right stuff.
Anyone with images and other information is more than welcome.
Thanks
Zack

Hi Zack,

looks good. Do you have any others photos with details please?

:-)

For now I'm still short on birch bark.
Next weekend I'm meeting with someone who could have some.
For now I have bamboo for frame.

Andrew Hall made a post here with a pattern. I would say work on the pattern some more.

Very interesting. What is it like to use one of those quivers? Today most all you see are point down styles. wonder how it compares.

Zack, I'm in Toronto and I can get you some bark fairly easily.

Will get in touch.

Going to Nova Scotia next week and up a bit north of TO at the end of the month. Should be ample opportunity to get some in both places. Just let me know how long is ideal. I can roll it up like a poster and you can soak it to flatten it back out.
Zack
Ideal would be 34" , but shorter is OK as well.
