Nubian Archery

There are several in the Grayson Collection too. They are quite massive. There are some interesting other archery artifacts associated with them from tombs including a wrist guard in the form of a Horus falcon that fitted over the thumb of the left hand and had two beads for the arrow to sit between on the thumb side of the bow. The group that produced them had very unusual horse bits.
