Ismail Enver Pasha or Enver Pasha was taken an active role in the last periods of the Otttoman Empire as a military officer and politician.

Expecially,he was the main leader in both Balkan Wars and World War 1.
And,at the Military Museum in İstanbul, there is a special steel bow used as sporting purpose by the Pasha in the past.It is Enver Pasha's full steel Bow !

* This bow has very interesting design beside the similarity with the vehicle suspension systems.

* This bow is not an asymmetric one but shortly and has got some excellent parts on it and they may be designed by him.

* This bow has a mystery for a long time and also keeping some proofs on it.

Note:You can read my article and see this steel bow picture details in my site.

It might be a bow for exercise. Metal bows are still used in the traditional gymnasiums of Iran (zurxane) for building up certain muscle groups. Wrestlers used large wooden clubs to for strengthening the wrists.

Yes,the Pasha might be used it for exercise but...., beside the shooting.Because, this steel bow has got very deep traces on the arrow passing section(Rest) of the grip.
I took some closer photos and you can see that traces clearly.
And i determined the shooting style of the Pasha from these traces and one photo of Enver Pasha for specify the dominant eye.Enver Pasha was not using a thumbring with this steel bow just i thought.

Note:You can look other photos and read the proofs, nice designs of this bow in my site.

Golhan,
How long is the grip and is that cork covering it?
Bowyer Golhan
Hi,
it was standing behind the showcase;so,i couldn't take any meaure and touch to the grip for testing the material but,it must be cork covering on the grip(I did not see any this kind of wood condition such like this before). It looks like a fishing rod handle doesn't it?
This cork is a very soft material for the bow grips expecially on the arrow pass section as you know,i think.
