OK stuff?
I want something that looks traditional w modern material and OK performance.
I've tried: Kassai Magyar Sport and Bearpaw/Atilla Mongolian (fiberglass bows) Samick SKB, Kaya Khan, Ragim Taiga, Saluki Turk, and Attila's Archery Medieval Hungarian Hunting bow (laminated).
Before I saw the Mariner bows I ordered some Chinese bows that kinda sorta look like them (liTang?). The Seven Stars Trading bows look nice.
So what else is out there?

The Grozer Biolaminates could be worth trying.
Grozer confuses the heck outta me!Arry wrote:

What exactly is TRH? Biolaminates? Are they as durable/trouble/care free as a wood/glass bow?
How are the Kassai, Atilla wood/glass laminated bows (in relation to what I want, not the good stuff).
TRH is pretty much Grozer's line of bows made of fibre glass and wood laminate.
The biolaminates use a wooden core with 1) animal sinews in epoxy on the back side and 2) pulverized horn in epoxy on the belly side. This is supposed to be closer to "real" composites regarding how the bows feel when drawn. Some Biolaminates look historically correct.

ask Thomas Duvernay for a Hwarang bow.

Try a laminated Korean bow, long version (especially if you're shooting split fingers) and artificial horn on the belly. These bows are light, very fast, no hand shock, and great dynamics overall. It's not even comparable with the SKB.
Be aware that the poundage of these bows is measured at about 29". As Uli said, Thomas is the person to talk to.
