Abdal's Turkish (long) Bow 133cm ntn
Here's my new Bow
ntn 133cm
sal 36 cm
kabza 12cm
kasan 15 cm.
Thinnest place of sal is 9mm x 32mm.
Seasoning 2.5 years.
It's thin because the Horn was very thin.
I think sal is too long, kabza to short. But i can drawn it over 35". Good for my long arm's. My drawn length to my chin is about 35". I have problems to get Arrows longer than 33".

gut gemacht ! :D
Nice! Very good to tiller out the imbalace and twist so well. Did you use heat? And where?
I shot last Sunday some Carbon Arrows. Very easily to drawn, but very very powerful and accurately shoot. Only the Twist is still a problem.
I use Heat, Tepelik and scraped the Horn very little to get out the imbalance.
The Twist is still a Problem, I have heat and twist to other side and still the same. I can twist out it at tensioned bow, but after drawn the twist come back. See the pictures.

It seems you need to bend the bow at the grip to correct the "twist". Enough heat and a jig to hold the bow will do it.

don't bother to try to correct the twist. it's in the wood and there is nothing to be done. I corrected (very fine) with heat a self bow but after applying sinew the twist came back. better replace the wood. some trees have hidden tension in the wood due to weather or other factors...
