Made a thumb ring, and I need some advice

Hello,
A total newbie needs some advice from experts.
I have a Kaya KTB #30 bow. This is my fitst bow ever.
I made 3 thumb rings out of a pool ball. First one was failed pretty bad. The second one was sukkajee, but also failed.
The third one is successful for me. I took long time to make this one by using files, and make sure it fits on my thumb.

I have very small hands with girly fingers. I have a feeling that when I use a 50-60# bow someday, I might need a sukkajee for my thumb.

Anyway, here are few pictures of my thumb, and can you guys tell me what you think? I think the thumb part is little too bulky, or too thick?

First off, making rings you need to ask yourself what you are gonna use it for, and what technique you will use.
For me, in generall, I would make the lip slightly shorter, and yes, the ring looks pretty bulky/thick. That much material makes no sence, as long as it protects your thumb it can be as thin as possible.
Otherwise, you have made a nice job for just your third ring :)

Thank you for the reply.
I will use my bow for target practicing, and 3d. I use Korean archery technique.
I will make the ring thinner, and see how it shoots.
I just made my first arrows with 4" feathers, and they shoot very good. Its a big step up from using youth practice arrows :)

I trimmed the ring, and made it thinner.
I just tested it, and it seemed arrows go where I wanted more than before.
Since I have tried 2 other thumb rings that I made, and compared them to the 3rd one. I can tell that a thumb ring is very important. If it doesnt fit to thumb, the bow doesnt shoot right.

Tomorrow will be my first time going to a range and test my bow, the thumb ring, and my new arrows.
