New book on Ming Dynasty archery / Tian & Ma
Hello all,
I am writing this brief note to alert ATARN members to a book that is about to roll off the presses in the United States--"The Way of Archery: A 1637 Chinese Military Training Manual", written by Jie Tian and Justin Ma and published by Schiffer Publishing.
Ma and Tian's new book is a translation, with commentary, of Gao Ying's archery textbook written in the Ming Dynasty.

I really appreciate having Gao Ying's Manual available as a reference and learning tool. The included experiences of Justin Ma and Jie Tian supports and demonstrates Gao Ying's instruction nicely!
