My new silver thumb ring
I have casted this thumb ring with sterling silver. I haven't tested it yet, but I will do on the weekend. If it didn't work I will melt it and try a different shape :)

You may find as you shoot heavier bows that you will regret making a ring with a pointed tip. When you are in complete control pointed tip rings work well and there are many surviving examples. However, when you get out of your comfort zone or become tired from continuous shooting sometimes the tip with dig into the pad of your thumb and become uncomfortable.
Once you have made one good ring, you will undoubtedly make more and I suggest experimenting with different tip shapes if you have problems with this one. Even if this one works perfectly, it's worthwhile experimenting.
I think you have done a good job on making a ring that is very like surviving rings in shape. Congratulations.

I learned that already with a light bow. The angle was bad. I made a second one after an old ring. I think this will work better. I will try it on the weekend.
