It seems like
high = straight
low = collapsed
but there are contradictions..

for example. I've heard Manchu technique uses high wrist, and Korean low wrist. But I've also read that Korean is high wrist, and siper technique is low wrist.

Next sources: The Art of Shooting... Adam Swoboda. Don't have it with me right now, though

I did some research recently into some old books on archery in hopes of finding out which way this terminology should be used. I concentrated on Horace Ford and Hansard. I will be looking at Archery: the Technical Side as well soon.

It seems to me that it is much more subjective than I first thought. It may be necessary each time you use these terms to describe what you mean first because you cannot know what the reader last saw as an explanation.
