Same as Bede. All functions were as usual except the discussion group. Once I could enter, it would work normally. I thought that something was wrong with my machine. XXXXXX-computers!!! -j-
PS. Does anyone out there know what a Pinata is? It is a paper machet figure which has candy in it. Hispanics round here buy them for children's parties and hang them on a string and let the kids hit them with a stick, to try to break free the candy. Lately this cottage industry has also turned to making them in the form of computer screens- for adult parties.
Also at outside fairs, you can select an old computer and a sledge hammer and rehabilitate the machine for $1 or so. The therapy value is hard to measure!! Try this at home for yourself. It works!!! -j-

I could not join the forum for the last few days. Yesterday, I just managed after a very long time to get to its first page. So the cookie registered my visit. Then when I clicked on "see the last messages" everything was gone again.

......same problems...........they have begun last week, especially in the evening no connection to the forum possible. Today it is working, but slower as in better times!

For your next party I would recommend to select beside your PC your TV too. Greater therapy.

Mostly I am able to log in. But in my 'control panel' (that you guys can't see), I am being told that there is zero MB of disk space left out of a total of 52GB. I have asked the ISP, as this is rather unlikely. I'm waiting for a reply.
If disk space is low, you may be encountering problems logging in when someone else is on, hence the patchy performance.
If I am out of disk space, I may have to ask you to prune off some large graphic files. :(

Disk space could be eaten up by a hacked area or a virus. Or something might have duplicated an area.

From my machine, the atarn engine has slowed down to a crawl. Maybe it needs more vitamins; hope it is not bird flu.
Kind of slow here too, at times.
ditto what Bede says. Has been really slow and times out about 95% of the time. This seems to only happen to me when trying to get to the forum pages.

same in Beijing. Usually, the forum doesn't show up and tells me of a critical Data base error.
If it works, it's slow.
Also Stephen sent me a PM and I get an email to tell me to check in my box. I received this email dated May 24th more than 40 times (I receive it once each time I check my mails, then the connection with the email server stops and it believes I did not receive it)
