Congratulations to Alberto Aleotti
Atarnite Alberto won Primitive Archer Magazine's bow of the year. The readership of their website first awarded him bow of the month against 20 other applicants. Then he took bow of the year against the other monthly winners. The Turkish inspired Gemsbock and maple hornbow has 6 layers of sinew. 48 inches N to N, #69 @ 28", 195 fps with 520 grain arrows. Spring 2005, V.13, issue 1. This bow was also his fourth bow of the month.
Well done Alberto. Do you care to post a pic? -j-

Congratulations!!! :)
It must be cool to be awarded bow of the month, let alone bow of the year. Keep making more bows and check out my other thread in this forum.
PS Is it worth buying PA magazine and going to their forum? I have never had a PA magazine, but have seen them in an archery shop. I used to browse their forums but not anymore.

I think it is both worthwhile to read this magazine and its internet forums and especially to participate. It usually has enough breadth in an issue to cover several different types of archery.
Since its readership is genuinely interested in archery, I think it is a good place to get and give ideas.
The ATARN site has show us all that there are many people with unique skills to show us and even more people interested in finding out.

Congrats also to Alberto :D
I have done an article on Asian traditional archery for Primitive Archer. (I don't quite know what it 'primitive' about any form of archery!)
My article should be in the next issue.
