Composite style ? : an example
This bow was made by a friend of mine. It is 51" long.
It has not been strung yet.
What does it look like ?
My friend says Persian i would say Indo Persian (?)
It makes me think about an Indo Persian made by Yokhua.
By the way Yokhua covered the belly splice with sinew.
Quite unusual ?
Should my friend do the same for strength ?

I would have said Indo-Persian as well. It should be entertaining to string.
There are three bows in the Pitt-Rivers museum that have been cut up to show the cross sections. One is described as North Indian (Indo-Persian) and has a horn strip which is not the full width of the limb, the edges apparently filled with sinew, and with a sinew wrap. This seems a strange construction to me. The Iranian (Persian) bow has a belly made from small strips of horn, again wrapped in sinew.
