is it theoretically possible to use turtle shell as a substitution? as far as i know, it's upper layer is made of keratin  :o
according to wikipedia it says even this
Keratins are the main constituent of structures that grow from the skin: the α-keratins in the hair (including wool), horns, nails, claws and hooves of mammals and the harder β-keratins in the scales and claws of reptiles, their shells (chelonians, such as tortoise, turtle, terrapin)

Kao sto tvoj avatar kaze "is-no-good".
I onako zamotas krak
u kozu i ko zna sto je ispot koze.
redhawk
Definitely not.
The keratins in the tortoise shell are the harder ones, but they are too brittle.
If you work with such a shell you will experience it.
