sinew handle?

I have begun the assembly of my first horn bow. Since the handle is reversed in this style of bow do you sinew across the handle???

I did, if for no other reason than I didn't make my handle very thick or deep. So I was kind of building it up a bit more with sinew. I'll still wrap at the fades, more to hold down the horn (splices at the fades) than anything else.

I would caution you though, the sinew has shrunk some and pulled off the handle a bit at one of the fades (you don't see the deep brown of the walnut handle wood.) I don't anticipate this being a problem, although I intend to inject a little glue in the void as a precautionary measure. Wrapping the fades in sinew, should hold things down.

Hopefully one of the experienced people will chime in on how this area is customarily treated.
