what is wrong with dicks supplies of their hornstrips.. ??
well for one its short isnt it , but its done -finish strips,.
leaving you guys lot of guesswork and hard effort out.
besides its low price isnt it. ?
any comment after the experiences???

Ban these hornstrips from your mind!
Dick cuts these strips from every part of any horn he could get. Without taking care of the horn?s fibres. To use the side-walls of a horn means not to have understand the sense of the horn in a bow. Only the reflexed parts of the horn make sense. Sooner or later such a bow will break or will never perform like a well-done hornbow. Don?t cut the fibres, it is the same thing with wooden bows: nature shows the way it goes.
I mailed these facts to Dick, but he ignores them and is still offering hornstrips for bowyers.

at about 19 inches only . at $16 euro per piece
19 is not exactly good /right length for archery cut
though they might have longer horns but for higher prices.
be sure its horn meant for archery though- one must ask very specific
archery usually has meticulous need.
not many businessman has the pateince to sit down , research and to conform to what bowyers wants or looking for.
again such horn might be meant for something else. or consider random picking .which bowyers dont like
just because somebody shouted horn , - people jump to it. same case as in the case of their strips and they instantly presume its maent for their kind of craft.
i must say selling to bowyers is one of the most meticulous of all horn buyer - other craft's need is not that meticulous.
