Hi !
I got a problem!
I have glued a couple of horn strips to two different wood core. First time a core of rowan and i used gelatin as hide glue. result one of the horn strip did separate one inch form the fade of handle after bracing the bow, i re glued it and it held up for bracing and drawing a couple of inches more then it separated again but this time the horn cracked. so this bow is no longer a bow.

My second attempt is an elm core with two new horn strips with reel hide glue.
After a couple of days drying i could peel of the horn strips from the core with not to much force and almost all of the hide glue is still attached to the core
but only about 10% left on the horn strip. I have a glue heater so i have not made the glue to hot. Any advise would be appreciated.

Thank for a excellent place on the Internet to visit every day.
