Fancy Bamboo Arrow

I thought I would show you guys this one, I am planning on making a larger set (12-14) of a similar design. It is tempered bamboo, pheasant fletching, osage nock, and brass point. I think I weighed it at 590 grains. Painted with acrylic paints. Sinew and Osage nock put in with hide glue. Tip put in with hot melt glue, and fletching with white school glue. I modeled it after a bamboo arrow I have from korea. It is just over 32" long.

Hope you guys like.

Very attractive. Some traditional arrows are so good looking it is a encouragement to never miss so you never lose one.

Or shooting a good group. My wife rear ended one of the bamboos I made for her. Imagine doing that to one of these after all that work?

Here is another group of three arrows I just finished up. They look nice enough to show :). The others are a little older. I used some goose feathers I found at a local lake for the fletching this time. Its a lot easier to prep feathers that I thought and they don't look too bad.

Here's some more.

Beautiful work Samurai!

Is the cresting at the tip your personal fletcher's signature?

Have you tested the spine? or are you going by wieght?

Is the pheasant tail feather or wing feather?

Those are so beautiful!
