Composite bow core recurve

I have been doing some background reading into bow construction, but I have found that there are many facts that are missing because they would be so obvious to an experienced bowyer.
In 'Turkish Archery and the Composite Bow', the wooden core is drawn as one, or two straight and flat pieces of wood, with the siyah and kassan spliced on at the end of the limbs. But from looking at other works, diagrams show the wood core as having a recurve in the bending limb before any sinew or horn is applied.
Could you tell me if the wooden core does in actuality have a recurve before it is glued to horn and sinew. To what extent does the horn recurve the bow?, and to what extend does sinew recurve the bow?

First of all author of Turkısh archery and the composite bow is not bowyer.He translate it from Kani '' Telhis'' , it means abstract.
Old turkısh bowyers used to a kınd of special wooden bench '' tezgah'' for to make first shape of limb. They used to hot water till the fresh wood very soft then bowyer used the bench for bent it. After a year, bowyer make a backıng .They used to two layer of snew , after every layer bow reflexed ,end of the 2. layer bow looks lıke a cırcle. Cırcle is quarantee of the bow.

It looks like I will have to familiarize myself with steam/water treatment and find some fresh maple rather than machined stuff that I can get away with in longbows.
