Egyptian inspired kids bow
Here are a few pictures of my son's bow.I made it for him last Christmas.It's gemsbok horn ,bamboo flooring core, hickory siyahs, and sinew.

It's not as pure of a reproduction as most of the bows here. But I modeled it after pictures of King Tut's bows. He was a young boy too, and if he had seen the 'lord of the Rings' movies he might have had one of his bows painted this way too. :D

And he took this one of me drawing it.My idea is that he should be able to shoot this bow for a long time. As he grows and his draw length increases ,his little horn bow will handle it.

I just bought a chronogragh .The bow is pulling 16 pounds at 22 inches.
It shot a 280 grain arrow 112 feet per second.
And a 500 grain arrow 87 feet per second.
And it shot the same 280 grain arrow , 131 feet per second when draw 24 inches and pulling 20 pounds.
I now have to make a couple more like it for nephews . Are these speeds pretty good? Should I try to put more reflex in the next one ?
I know the 280 grain arrow is a bit to heavy for the 10 grains per pound .
