Concerning Chinese bow of doubt

Is the part of split a wood or horn?Thinking originally discover to be a white after ising a horn, but splitting, is it a wood?!
Want to hear everyone's viewpoint, thanks!

Wang; could that be lacquer over bamboo or wood? The delaminating layer is more than one third the thickness of the bow. -j-

In 2.jpg, it is indeeed the horn that has split. In 1.jpg, some lacquer has come away from the back and some of the sinew is visible underneath.

This bow should not be bent or strung.
