japanese short bow
Hello...
for some times ive been studing archery.
my teacher teaches technics he learnt from a japanese diplomat in my country.
this method comes from a technic of group shooting from an ambush ,which involved in shooting synchronously from a short range ,and from verius positions ,such as "rider stand" ,"low rider stand" and "dragon stand" which is one knee bent behind the other ,so you can drow your sword in a springy motion.
now ,ive been looking for information on japanese archery methods other then modern kyudo and couldnt find any ,do anybody knows something about this matter?

There was a German program called Games of the World which had a half hour on kyudo with some of the military techniques displayed.
I recall that Jaap Koppedreyer has demonstrated some of these techniques at Fort Dodge and Hong Kong.
i think ive seen that german program...
didnt they used yumi bows ,and shot from a kneeling stand?
anyway that was impresive shooting...

Yes, there were kneeling shots advancing on the target in that program.
