Crossbow rank rotation?

The discussion thread on bamboo crossbows led to this collection of images:

The most interesting highlight of the sequence for me is the last three images, which are said to explain a method for shooting in rotation. Is there a place where I can find a translation of the textual explanation for the method?
Stephen Selby
The translation starts on p. 244 of my 'Chinese Archery'.

Duh. I really should hurry up a bit in building up my savings for that book.
Stephen Selby
I?ll offer you a swap: free copy of my book in exchange for a report to publish on Atarn about traditional archery in Indonesia.

Sounds like an eminently fair proposal. But I might still give in to the temptation to save and buy the book anyway--there can be no harm in having two copies of a good book, especially when you have friends who might want to borrow it...
Stephen Selby
I've just come across a new edition of an old Chinese book (in Chinese) which discusses crossbow technique and tactics in some detail.

That's interesting news. Any details you can share at the moment?
