Looks good. What's 'IPE' and 'Carbonized boo'. (Lots of non-native readers of English here: we may need some help  )
ipe is a brazilian walnut, carbonized boo ,means tempered ,of a sorts ,,bammboo flooring that is dark in colour...thank you for taking a look.......robustus
Good work Robustus.Looks pretty good. Everithing nature is better then polyester epoxi copies.
James, It looks good. Have you seen the Korean version of this style of bow that Thomas posted a while back? Quite similar in draw length and bow length. It also has a bamboo back and belly.
What sort of bamboo is that?

thank you Dusan,it is stll a nice looking bow..also thanks for you complements on my bow.........robustus
This is not only nice bow , but very good shooter.(boys from Czech rep. buy some in last Korean archery fest.) But your is full natural - congratulation.
Pretty sure it's the belly that is bamboo, not the back. The pictures Thomas posted originally clearly show nodes on the belly. The picture shown also shows them. They are the lighter sanded down patches.
I found the old post but the pictures were gone.
It was mentioned that it has interior carbon.
It likely could easily also have a bamboo back.

yes.Mistake  .Belly is bamboo. This bow you can see in Thomas site-Koreanarchery.org
Regular korean bow have carbon and phenolic on the belly. I believe that this korean bamboo bow have carbon and bamboo on the belly, not only bamboo. Maybe fenolic and bamboo permit to made some fine adjustments, unlike carbon strips.
Robustus, is a very nice bow! I hope to made something like this sometime.
Your bow remember me the saluki turk shape.
How is shooting?

For all practical purposes the belly of the bow is the final layer. It can't be two materials. Carbon doesn't take compression very well. If it is under the bamboo belly then it technically is a core lamination.
