Hello All,

Here some pics of my bowcores.
The laths are 38mm wide, 18mm thick.
At the bottom will be a 5 piece construction and about 40mm wide and 13mm thick. (at the moment without Siyahs,...they are in work).
Grain is running nearly perfect paralell.

Top........Flightbow.....Mountain maple (Austria)...3 piece

Middle....Targetbow....Mountain maple (Austria)...3 piece

Bottom...Targetbow...Hard Maple (Canada)..5 piece...more rounder shape then the one in the middle.

Nice

They look a little ... thick. I thought cores were meant to be 4 mm or less?

Wolfhorn: where did you get the wood?
wolfhorn123
When finished they are about 4-5mm.
The thickness now is because when i glue on the horn then the shape from the bow is still the same.

If you glue horn to a 4mm piece of wood, the shape follows the shape of the horn,...so have different limbs then.

Hello JJ,

I used green wood, self cutted tree.
So i doesn?t soak it,...only boil 1 hour, then bend.
