Heavy Sin-Gi-Jeon Launch (rocket arrow)
It called Singijeon. It is a kind of multiple rocket propulsion arrow.
According to the record, Singijoen has 4 variants. small, medium, heavy and explosive Shinkijeon.
A few years ago, We could make replica of first two variants, small and medium.
But now, finally we can make Heavy Singijeon and Explosive, too.
My university team made it. they use only ancient technics.
(gunpowder chamber is paper)
It was very Exciting News for me. :)
And Three days ago, I was watch this beautiful weapon.
It was test launch. it's really beautiful.
I hope to launch this arrows in 2010 archery festival.

you are a korean archery, you know what are korean archery 9 regulations, you need be careful in 1-5 of 9
chinese made it first. and gunpowder too.
i already know you will say something about this.
but you are wrong jiao.
i don`t say it`s first. and it's different thing.
chinese doesn't sent to us any shenjijian in ancient times.
and now, they have no shenjijian blueprint because it stopped developing in long long ago.
i just want to show korean singijeon(神機箭) is more advenced and new.
it`s not a chinese. we made it a new and it was a top secret weapon in ancient korea because it`s better than chinese fire propulsion arrow.
and you also said "appurtenant ally country".
wow. it`s a bullshit. please don`t say again.
I don`t know what is your job, i think you have a wrong knowledge
chinese always assert "china always great" but it`s wrong.
you must know your knowledand anyone ge is based on china's communism educational policy. they have emphasis only make the "great china"
They use counterfeit history for education. because this counterfeit history, many races(in china) has spiritual pain and oppression problem.
they don`t know their origin and real history. they never know.
i think you are same. you said to me korean archery 9 regulations.
but you can`t say to me that. you need a deep thought about your country and your knowledge in your head.
china government cover up the truth about history as yet
and they teach manipulation history. this is very serious problems to chinese and us.

it still is shenjijian, it is not v3 rocket or rus kaqusa rocket, ofcause today powder and rocket advenced a lot. and it is a top secret can not got confirmation :D and we need prove the Tungus mysterious explode by shinkijeon test :D
what wrong the appurtenant ally country?in old time form last qing ,ming, the korean, the Vietnam, the Ryukyu is china appurtenant ally country, form i know it only is striped-pants pay intribute , they are pay one we are pay more , and when war hapen need we help one another, like the today military affairs and government ally
ofcause you are form capitalism that all is korean and all korean is best,i an not take anythig is faultlessly or all is right all is wrong, but how and where can you say and know in my country? and how can you said there is north korea and very wild china area, there is almost closed place?http://atarn.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t ... c&start=15
that is almost same thing in a movie
but arrows not, second movie is singijeon.
not - a - shenjijian
if that's the same thing, jiao can tell us, how to make it and shenjijian's inner structure, stuff, etc...
if you have a any picture and real thing of shenjijian??? in museum??
if you have, it must be "made in korea" puhaha
some good replies are there.

No, Koreans invented the Hwacha. You're referring to the Ming Huoche. The Koreans used all of their own design as well as launching and explosion technology. The Korean hwacha was the first ever use of defensive artillery technology. The Ming Huoche was a one-wheeled light-weight weapon used offensively. The Korean hwacha was heavier, had a larger capacity, and was more accurate, precise, and deadly. ]
Look at the third name down at 3:10 :DKen wrote:

Same thing?
Nationalism is a poison.
Let's keep nationalistic fighting out of this. I think we can all agree that the singijeon was an import into Korea from China and that Korea made its own improvements and fired them from the hwacha. The movie The Divine Weapon was mostly fictional, as movies tend to be in order to make their stories interesting.
They are fun to watch; I've seen them fired off many times.
Mechwar, who actually made the propellant tubes and loaded them for your university? Was the propellant hand-made or did it come from a commercial source? If the former, I'd be very interested in knowing the ratio they used for charcoal, sulfur, and potassium nitrate, as there were several traditional formulas used in Korea for different things.
actually, I was send to you, e- mail about this.
plz, check out your e- mail.
i think we need a contact
Here is an article on the event, which also includes a short video.
I can explain about this, but...
here is the answer what you want :)

This is Dr. Yeonseok Chae's reserch paper in 1984.
We used korean traditional paper, Han-Ji
That image is korean language, but you can recognize each part.
Left first chamber is warhead, it separated by thick paper.
Second chamber is a combustion chamber. But it`s a nozzleless!!!
It has just cone shaped empty space for firejet.
And center circle is combustion start point.

what is first ever use?

it is a poison arrow, also enough irruptive armor ,the guns more good from import, i will translate the cinese later

NorthKorea army just use it. :)
According to the record, the first chinese rocket is Bi-Hwa-Chang(飛火槍) : 비화창 in 1232(but it`s not a arrow, it`s a kind of spear, and not a paper chamber), And our first rocket arrow is a Joo-Hwa 走火 (running fire) in 1377.
We used the name "Singijeon(神機箭)" since 1448,
but chinese use this name "shenjijian(神机箭)" since about 1621 (Mu-bi-ji book 武備志 : 무비지)
In my viewpoint,,,,,,,
If those are samething, shenjijian(神机箭) must be Singijeon(神機箭)'s re-copy. And look at the middle word 机. It's the same meaning. but it`s more simpler than 機.
People always try to use more simple words for imtate or copy something.
uh.. but, it`s just MY VIEWPOINT, like you~
NEVERMIND about that :)
in china song history recording the year of 970 to 975 use the rocket weapons both shoot and blast more than 10 kind weapons,in 1000-1100 the powder weapons is widely used, in 1300-1400 the guns use metal pipe, chinese song dynasty martial book of wujingzhongyao《武经总要》

the war car start at china waring time and rebuild in ming 1372,1410,in 1447 make the small one wheeled car for load and shoot the powder weapons

in old chinese word the 机is機, today taiwan and hongkang use it , the 机is china simpler word
Korea received its black powder technology from China. Over the years, Korea refined it to its own use.
Did you know that in the 17th century China bought their matchlocks from Korea because the quality was very good? Where did Korea get their matchlock technology originally? Japan. Where did Japan get their matchlock technology originally? Portuguese sailors. However, Korean matchlock technology didn't improve until they came into possession of Dutch matchlocks. So, Chinese matchlocks from the 17th century were Korean-made, but based upon European technology.
It's funny how many things come around full circle.

A very good point Thomas. Another good example of this would be the manufacturing techniques used to produce Japanese swords i.e. folding the steel and differential tempering. These techniques both originated in China. Indeed what we call a samurai sword today evolved from a type of dao that was used during the Tang dynasty in CHina and the Three Kingdoms Period in Korea. The Japanese name for this weapon was Chokuto
I think the kyodo bows however are original Japanese invention.
This is just slightly off topic but Andrew Hall has sent me information about laminated bamboo bows being found in 5-3 C BCE ( Warring States) tombs in China. But how could one definitely know that they were invented there (There was no country of China back then anyway) since Chinese have always been willing to assimilate technology of other cultures?
Nor did Japanese invent asymmetry in bow design as any student of the Hunnic bow can demonstrate.
Therefore to describe the yumi as unique to Japan is not exactly accurate. But of course, I love the shape anyway. =j=
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DBD6W2X2v7w I would klike to try making one of these fire arrows myself but doing so would likley cuse me to lose a finger or two or end up in jail...
It is a documentary about korean's first rocket arrow.
i want make this, too..
but.. it`s very dangerous work. :(
Be careful.... and good luck :)
