Hanwei replica arrowheads
Anybody got the Japanese style Hanwei/Paul Chen arrowheads? What do you think about them. I imagine they are too fragile, only for looking. They look good through pictures but I wonder about the quality.
His web site calls them collectibles and conversation pieces.
These don't even look like the originals which were pierced from steel whereas his are sand cast.

I wouldn't expect much of most of them quality-wise, there's a good chance they damage on impact. But I don't think even the real ones were used.
However, the one that goes by the name "Watakusi" does have a clear demarcation of a differentially hardened edge in the picture. From the looks of it, it is real and not etched like on cheap Japanese swords. Who knows, this one may be of proper hardness and capable of enduring impact. For the price, it's perhaps worth a try.

There is a German online shop offering "collector grade" replicas of Japanese arrowheads:

Could these be the same?
